Rothschild & Co Asset Management Europe is reorganising its range of open-ended funds around strong brands

Rothschild & Co Asset Management Europe has decided to rename some of its UCITs to favor clear and recognizable brand names, providing a structured frame for its range of products.

As of 11 February, the Rothschild & Co Asset Management Europe range will be organised around four strong brands: Conviction, Valor, Thematic and 4Change.

  • Conviction” brings together actively managed funds within equities, fixed income and multi-asset. It reflects strong positions taken by managers founded on market expectations and research on securities within their investment universe. Those funds are mainly invested in euros and have a benchmark.

  • Valor”, inspired by its flagship fund R-co Valor, is managed on a discretionary basis, without any benchmark or regional constraints. These portfolios can be invested in all asset classes, without any sector or style bias.

  • Thematic”, as its name suggests, covers funds invested in promising themes which offer attractive long-term potential, such as real estate, the ageing population or gold mines. Those funds invest in equities and fixed income.

  • Finally, “4Change” combine our funds that strive to combine financial performance, enhanced ESG selection and impact as central elements of their strategies. Above all, our approach seeks sustainable investment opportunities, both from an energy and social transition perspective. “4Change” offers a range dedicated to climate change.

In addition, two supplementary ranges are available to satisfy specific clients’ needs: the OPAL range, more specifically dedicated to distribution networks seeking open architecture investment solutions; and the RMM range, more specifically developed for the needs of the Group’s private clients.

While the Conviction and Valor brands are seen more as core portfolio strategies, the Thematic and 4Change funds are true diversification tools. This new structure to the range allows us to focus more coherently on our different areas of expertise”, says Didier Bouvignies, Managing Partner, Head of Asset Management, Rothschild & Co Asset Management Europe.

In the wake of this reorganisation, the firm has decided to rename some of its funds for clarity purposes, both in terms of strategy implementation and product objective. Funds intended mainly for distribution in Europe benefit from “R-co” prefix, followed by the name of the range. Given the international breadth of Rothschild & Co Asset Management Europe’s expertises, most of the fund names are now in English.
